First Day of 2012

After a memorable and eventful new years eve, every one of us needed those extra few hours of sleep. Waking up around 11 it was time to get up and start the new year off on the right foot. One of the best ways to enjoy the summer weather here was to go to this place Bondi Beach. It was about a 30 minute trip from the city and when we got there it was like we had stepped into an entirely different world. Overwhelmed by the amount of people walking around we grabbed a quick bite to eat and the essentials needed for the beach, sunscreen and towels. We made our way down to the beach and attempted to find a place to post up camp. The beach looked like Miami Beach or Jersey Shore with the amount of ripped, tanned, and good looking girls that were walking around. After finally finding a spot to sit, we all made our way down to the water weaving in and out of people and stepping on their toes. The water was absolutely FREEZING. So instead of swimming in the ocean I decided to lay out and cook like a lobster for a bit. Not a good choice. We stayed on the beach for about 4 hours before going to grab a bit to each at a beachfront Italian restaurant. Dinner was delicious and we called it quits for the day and headed back to the city to tend to the sunburns and soreness of the week. It was a much needed day of relaxation amidst our hectic and constant going of this trip.
